On Saturday, Obaseki had declared that the governorship election would be a do-or-die-die affair.

With the development, Edo North Senatorial District senator, Adams Oshiomhole, and others will be in the state without police protection during the election.

In another news, The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has on Saturday given a vehement warning against any attempt to try to rig or tamper with next week’s governorship election in Edo State.

Atiku has also warned that Edo is not Lagos where, according to him, the gubernatorial election can be rigged by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He spoke in Ekemwan area of Edo State during the grant finale of the PDP’s governorship campaign rally.

The former Vice President also urged the people of the state to protect their votes to avoid rigging.
