The royal father, Igwe Dr. K.O.N Orizu III, CON, JP, has declared a three-day mourning period to honor Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebubechukwuzo), whose passing in the United Kingdom has sent shockwaves of grief throughout the land.
In a solemn statement issued by Prince Dr. Obi Orizu, Principal Secretary to Igwe Nnewi, the monarch invites the entire Nnewi community, including non-indigenous residents, to unite in mourning the passing of Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, a distinguished son of Nnewi whose legacy will be deeply missed.
In addition, the statement extended an invitation to spiritual leaders from diverse religious backgrounds to lead their congregations in solemn prayers for the eternal rest of Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, seeking divine comfort and peace for his soul.
The monarch’s declaration of a three-day mourning period takes effect from today, July 30th, 2024, and will run until August 1, 2024, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance of Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
