Digital Education: Enugu Partners With FG, Microsoft

Enugu State is poised to become a hub of digital excellence, thanks to a landmark collaboration between the State Government, Federal Government, Microsoft, and Tech4Dev. This partnership will empower civil servants with the latest digital skills, significantly enhancing their performance.

Enugu State is spearheading a digital revolution in its civil service through the Digital Skills Nigeria (DSN) Programme, a strategic initiative aimed at equipping civil servants with the digital skills necessary to drive innovation, efficiency, and productivity in achieving the state’s development goals.

The governor’s administration has stressed that revamping the public sector is a top priority. They have initiated a comprehensive program to upskill and reskill public and civil servants, aiming to boost efficiency and instill a productive work ethic that aligns with their vision for Enugu State’s development.

Speaking about the training, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, said: “The modernisation of the public service is key to our administration. We are embarking on training and retraining of public and civil servants to optimize productivity and imbibe the right work culture necessary for the achievements we plan for Enugu State.”

Mr. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital Economy and MSMEs, and Director General of the Enugu SME Centre, stressed the significance of the Digital Skills Nigeria (DSN) Programme in propelling Enugu State’s digital revolution and economic expansion, highlighting its potential to unlock new opportunities and foster sustainable growth.
