Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state has reiterated his dedication to joining forces with Imo State’s House of Assembly, striving for a common goal of progress and advancement.
During the assembly’s anniversary ceremony, Governor Uzodimma reiterated his dedication to fostering a productive partnership, ensuring lawmakers have the necessary support and resources to drive meaningful change and advance their skills.
“I will always have your back as we collectively render selfless service to our people.”
The Governor commended the lawmakers for their hard work and dedication, saying, “You have indeed acquitted yourselves creditably in the last one year, given your vibrancy and resourcefulness. I salute you for being alive to your responsibilities.”

The governor highlighted his team’s remarkable accomplishments, featuring a dozen landmark bills and various motions, and reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance.
“This vision for a new Imo is what has welded all of us together. We have been chosen by the people to individually and collectively serve them. As servants of the people, we are expected to be humble, focused, committed, and dedicated in the discharge of our various duties,” he said.
House Speaker Chike Olemgbe voiced his gratitude to Governor Uzodimma for his collaborative approach and acknowledged the hard work and solidarity of his fellow lawmakers, emphasizing their united pursuit of progress.
“We have worked tirelessly to ensure that our constituents are well represented, and we will continue to do so,” Olemgbe said.
A distinguished gathering of notable figures attended the ceremony, featuring Deputy Governor Chinyere Ekomaru, Senator Patrick Ndubueze, and former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, among others.
