The wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has appealed to traders to avoid harmful chemicals in food preservation.

Soludo made this appeal when she addressed traders at Nkwo Nnewi Market, as part of her ongoing Healthy Living Market outreach.

During her speech, she emphasized the importance of refraining from using harmful chemicals for food storage, citing potential risks to human health.

Soludo noted that many traders resort to chemicals to preserve their food products, unaware of the health hazards they pose.

She cautioned against the use of such substances, noting their contribution to life-threatening diseases.
