I Will Submit Myself To Audit After My Tenure – Otti

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has reiterated that his government does not share money but uses the state’s resources to work for the people.

Otti made this known on Saturday in Ohafia during a town hall meeting with the five local government areas in Abia North Senatorial District, as part of activities to mark his one year in office.

He said he would submit himself to audit by the time he was done with his governorship, assuring his administration is working hard to address the infrastructural needs of the various zones in Abia State.

The governor also said his administration is focused and poised to change the narrative across the board, despite obvious challenges.

Otti further said that the town hall meeting allowed him to interact with the people.

He appreciated the people of the Abia North senatorial zone for their massive support that culminated in his electoral victory last year.

I’m happy that I’ve listened to you. A lot of people that spoke talked about roads. I’m sure you remember that less than a year ago, there was even no road, but today, we are making progress.

“The journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. I can assure you that this journey has started and it will never stop,” Otti declared.

The Abia Chief Executive further disclosed that his administration will, starting next month, commence local government councils in the state to have an assessment of the areas.

According to Otti: That we are organising these town hall meetings in senatorial districts is just the beginning. By next month, we will start with our visits to every local government. From there, we will move to the communities. It is just for us to hear from you, feel your pulse, and assess how this government has performed in the last 12 months.
