The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti has presented a staff of office to Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere as the traditional ruler of Ikwu Orie Ohanku Ndoki Autonomous Community in Ukwa East LGA.
The Eastern Updates reports that Apostle Chibuzor is the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM).
Presenting the staff of office and letter of recognition to the traditional ruler, the governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Uzo Nwachukwu, said the event followed the overwhelming acceptance and presentation of the Apostle as the Eze-elect by the community.
The governor, while congratulating the Apostle on the new position, challenged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by his people, and also urged the community to give him the necessary support to succeed.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Florence Nwogu and Director of Chieftaincy, Chuka Agomoh, said that Apostle Chibuzor met all the requirements to become a monarch and was unanimously endorsed for the job.
A member of the community, Mr Kenneth Nwachi, said the people were excited by the presentation of the staff of office to the new traditional ruler.
Responding, Apostle Chibuzor said he took up the role in order to engender peace and prosperity in the community.
In another report, Otti has decried the condition the state was in when he took over reins of power last May, stressing that it was left in a very bad shape by his predecessor, Okezie Ikpeazu.
When asked if he met the state in bad shape, he replied, “Absolutely, very, very bad shape, but I am not complaining. I have folded my sleeves and I am just dealing with what I met here.”
The governor was a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday.
He said that while he was not totally against debts, his grouse was that he did not see what the money borrowed by his predecessor was used for.
