Arthur Eze Backs Non-Kinetic Approach To South-East Security

Prince Arthur Eze, the billionaire businessman, has officially backed the adoption of non-kinetic approaches and other initiatives as part of efforts to tackle insecurity in the South-East region.

The philanthropist endorsed the initiatives during a courtesy visit to his Abuja residence by a delegation led by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu.

The Peace in South-East Project (PISE-P) delegation visited the oil mogul to provide information about the initiative and extend an invitation for his presence at the official launch set for Friday, December 29, 2023, in Bende local government area of Abia State.

The Peace in South-East Project (PISE-P), a comprehensive five-year peace-building and development initiative, strategically formulated to confront the multifaceted socioeconomic challenges and security issues in the South-East region of Nigeria, arose in response to the mounting impact of agitations, economic decline, and security threats.

Built on a foundation of eight pillars, the non-kinetic approach prioritizes sustainable development through education, agriculture, commerce and industry, infrastructural development, culture and tourism, sports and entertainment, as well as governance and leadership.

Speaking to the delegation, Chief Eze highlighted the timeliness of the project and called on all stakeholders to wholeheartedly embrace it as a pivotal measure to address the persistent issue of insecurity in the South-East.

Chief Eze commended the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for the admirable initiative and assured him of his support, confirming his presence at the official unveiling.

The businessman expressed appreciation for President Bola Tinubu, commending him for the appointments given to the Igbo and portraying him as a virtuous leader.

In a previous encounter, Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu conveyed to Chief Arthur Eze that the project was primarily geared toward the well-being of Ndi Igbo.

He acknowledged and appreciated Eze for his philanthropic gestures, highlighting the positive influence of his charitable actions.
