Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has said that one of the keys to ensuring the stability of Nigeria lies with the performance of traditional institutions across the country.

The governor said that the traditional institution ‘is needed for national healing in this critical challenging time of Nigeria’s nationhood.’

He emphasized that a stable institution is the source of stability for the nation, and asked leaders to see everyone as one people and the country as one entity.

Soludo said the traditional institution provides the balancing force for the country, noting that there is increased need for more national leaders who see everyone as one people and the country as one entity, to ensure stability for the nation.

Earlier, the monarch had described the governor as a true Nigerian. He said ‘Soludo has tried to live his life as a true Nigerian ambassador, representing the country in both character and attire.’

The Ooni eulogised the glorious days of Governor Soludo at the Central Bank of Nigeria which eventually gave rise to the consolidation of banks in the country.

He encouraged the governor to continue his selfless service to Anambra State in particular and Nigeria at large.
