Enugu: Mbah Appoints Patience Ozokwo To Transition Committee

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwo has been appointed as one of the members of the transition committee of the Enugu State Governor-elect, Peter Mbah. 

Mbah was elected as the governor of the state a few weeks ago under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Governor-elect inaugurated a 64-member transition committee on Thursday.

The committee members were tasked to produce an implementable action plan in line with the governor-elect’s manifesto.

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared pictures of herself with other committee members alongside Mbah.

She expressed excitement about serving the people of Enugu while thanking the governor-elect for the appointment and prayed for the success of his plans for the state.

I am grateful to @pnmbah for appointing me to the transition committee.

‘As a member of this committee, I am dedicated to serving the people of Enugu state to the best of my ability.

‘I pray that all the great plans you have for our people will be successful,’ she wrote.

Meanwhile, Mbah had earlier pledged that his administration will grow the economy of Enugu State from $4.4 billion to at least $30bn within the next eight years.

Mbah, who made this vow while speaking with reporters in Lagos on Thursday, stressed that his government will also disrupt the current revenue model in the state to be able to achieve the massive and unprecedented development of the state in accordance with the promises made to the people during his campaign.

The governor-elect also pointed out that his administration will unlock Enugu rural economy.
