The Lagos State chapter of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo has denied ever being calling for the resignation of Governor Sanwo-Olu.
The group’s President, Chief Sunday Ossai issued a rebuttal at a press conference by the Lagos State Leaders of Thoughts.
Ossai also said the people of South-East were supporting Sanwo-Olu’s re-election because he had fulfilled his campaign promises to them.
The Igbo leader declared that any vote outside of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on March 11 would amount to a waste.

President of Igbo Speaking Community, Chief Sunday Udeh; President of Yoruba Council Worldwide, Aare Oladotun Hassan and State Women Leader, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Chioma Okoro also addressed reporters.
In another report, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has described the just concluded 2023 presidential election as the worst ever conducted in the history of Nigeria’s democratic progress.
The body said it rejected the results of Saturday’s poll released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), saying they were not the true reflection of the people’s will.
The vice president of Ohanaeze, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, who made the position of the body known in a statement stressed that the body was shocked that despite the public outcry by Nigerians across the country, INEC still went ahead to release ‘results that were doctored’ to favour a particular party.
He highlighted that the group was grossly disappointed in INEC, indicating that the group rejects the outcome of the election.
