The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi has said he is considering the request by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to sack one of its House Representatives candidates, Eni Uduma China from the party.

This followed the recent killings and destruction of valuable properties at Ekoli Edda community in Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state.

The Eastern Updates reports that the state leadership of the APC had petitioned Eni Uduma Chima, who is contesting the Afikpo South/Afikpo North federal constituency seat, to the governor, demanding that he should be sacked from the party for allegedly sponsoring crisis in the area.

The state APC leadership also demanded that all the coordinators of development centre’s in Afikpo South LGA and other persons in leadership that are loyal to Eni Uduma Chima should be suspended as a way to bring calm and peace in Ekoli Edda community.

Recall that, three youths, including a police officer were killed and house of the state APC chairman, Stanley Okoro Emegha, and other valuable properties that worth millions of Naria were recently set on fire by mobs, resulting from power tussle that existed between Eni and Emegha in the area.

Umahi, who addressed the state APC leadership and other stakeholders of the state during a Christmas homage that took place at his hometown at Umunnaga Uburu community in Ohaozara LGA, said the party will soon take decision on sacking of APC candidates that are not loyal to the party leadership.

According to Umahi: ‘I’m looking at this request critically. For the total expulsion of Eni Uduma Chima from the party. I’m considering it very seriously, and all the APC candidates that are not loyal to the party. We are looking at it very seriously.

‘I have it, that before the flag off of our campaigns, we will meet and finally look at it. It is a shame that I begged the party chairman, Emegha, to allow Eni to fly the flag of APC. It is the prerogative of the chairman to make contributions, but I begged him (Emegha) and he respected me and allowed him (Eni) to fly the ticket of the party. That man has never respected the party chairman, no problem we shall see, he stated.
