Doctor Nabbed For Alleged Killing 7-Year-Old Girl In Enugu

Reports reaching the desk of The Eastern Updates have it that one Mr. Victor Chukwuemeka Ogbonna who was parading himself as a medical doctor has been nabbed for allegedly killing a seven-year-old girl in Mgbowo, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

It was gathered that the quack doctor was the one responsible for the death of the 7-year-old girl who died during a blood transfusion.

The Eastern Updates also gathered that Mr. Ogbonna, a Medical Lab Scientist converted his Lab into a mini-clinic where he has been treating patients.

Checks further revealed that Ogonna who owns a private hospital in Ngbowo where the girl met her untimely death was in the process of carrying out a blood transfusion when the girl gave up the ghost.

A source who spoke on condition of anonymity told our correspondent that the mother of the girl, Mrs Ngozika Emeka took her sick daughter to Ogbonna Laboratory to run a test as after the test, Mr. Ogbonna decided to carry out a blood transfusion on the child which led to her death.

He said the child was confirmed dead on getting to Zion Hospital Mgbowo.

When contacted, Enugu Police Spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident said ‘Investigation is ongoing, please’.

In another report, there is mild pandemonium among natives and residents of Akpawfu community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State after the area came under heavy bombardments following alleged raiding by troops of secret camps of suspected members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in the community.

This is coming even as the leadership of IPOB has debunked accusations and reports linking the group to the recent murder of four Nigerian soldiers in Enugu State.
