Abia Govt Decries Exclusion From NDDC IMC

The Abia State Government has called on the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, to include Abia in the five-member Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC that may be constituted.

The call was contained in a press release signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on Strategy and Planning, Dr. Iboko Imo Iboko, and made available to newsmen, in Umuahia, on Friday.

It opined that the development may be an oversight but appealed to the SGF to give necessary consideration to other oil-producing states in Nigeria like Abia.

Part of the release read, “We, the Government and People of Abia State are keeping in fate that our plea and agitation will be given all necessary and kind consideration being given to other oil-producing states in the country. Please, accept our warm salutations on behalf of the Government and people of Abia State”.
