The Eastern Updates reports that Ganduje’s tenure as APC chairman has been marked by controversy.
In other news, The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described the recent State of the State address delivered by Governor Hope Uzodinma during his official visit to the State House of Assembly as misleading, lacking in truth, and devoid of transparency.
The party further stated that the governor’s speech exposed the weakness of the present administration in tackling the insecurity and economic hardship facing the state.
A press statement issued by the party’s spokesperson, Lancelot Obiaku, said that the address presented by Uzodinma was “full of emptiness, uninspiring with old tales without positive future.”
According to the statement: “There was nothing new from his last address a year and half ago. He literally read the same script but an edited version bearing a new set of lies and make-believe.
“Uzodinma again, spent quality minutes blaming an unnamed opposition for the insecurity that has ravaged the state since his infamous ascension to power as governor in 2020. It was the same old and empty rhetoric. In addition, he lied that his administration has now overcome the menace of insecurity.”
