The head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has named his first ever starting XI in charge of the team.
Nigeria will take on Rwanda in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in Kigali on Friday evening.
Chelle has picked the quartet of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Simon Moses and Samuel Chukwueze.
In midfield, Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi start, while Stanley Nwabali is the preferred goalkeeper.

The defence is made up of Ola Aina, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Calvin Bassey and captain William Troost-Ekong.
Kick off is 5pm WAT.

Many football fans thought the 2024 award was going Vinicius’s way until the last moments when it became clearer he stood no chance.He helped Los Blancos to three titles in the 2023-24 season, including a second La Liga-UEFA Champions League double in three years.
However, Rodri was chosen for the award after winning Euro 2024 with Spain and having a strong club season with City.
Asked about his Ballon d’Or snub last year, the Brazilian forward chose to dwell on the future.
He told a press conference that he hopes to win a few as he keeps helping his club and country.
