Dr. Ebere Uzoukwa, Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to Abia State Governor Alex Otti, has declared that the governor’s exceptional performance over his 20-month tenure has eclipsed the expectations of opposition figures, solidifying his standing as a transformative leader in the state.
Uzoukwa emphasized that Otti has ushered in a governance approach that rises above partisan divides, earning widespread respect—even begrudging admiration—from political heavyweights across Abia’s spectrum, a feat he attributes to the governor’s focus on results over rhetoric.
In a weekend briefing with journalists, Uzoukwa highlighted Otti’s deliberate and determined push to revolutionize the state’s education, health, and agriculture sectors, framing these efforts as cornerstones of a broader mission to uplift Abia’s economic landscape.
He asserted that Otti has deftly applied his seasoned administrative acumen, coupled with a clear-eyed grasp of the deep-seated challenges he inherited, to construct a robust platform for fulfilling campaign pledges—a strategy that’s now yielding tangible dividends for Abians.

He said, “The implications and consequence of the governor’s performance show that he has crumbled opposition in Abia State.”
The governor’s aide noted that Otti has equally invested so much resource in human capital development through the training of many youths in digital skills and mechanized farming.
He added, “The governor sent about 360 Abians, mostly youths and women, to train in mechanized farming at CSS Farm in Nasarawa State. All of them who were trained have been empowered with loans and they are equally doing well in their areas of specialization.
The state government has reportedly crafted initiatives to strengthen agriculture by promoting large-scale farming, according to sources familiar with the matter. It’s no secret that agriculture has taken center stage lately, driven by growing concerns over food insecurity and widespread hunger. These issues, largely fueled by instability in the northern region, have made it clear that relying on food supplies from the North is no longer a dependable option for those of us here in the South.
